Salvador Dalí – Libra, from the Zodiac Series – 104/250 – Hand-Signed in Pencil

Description

An elegant graphic work attributed to Salvador Dalí representing Libra, one of the twelve signs of the Zodiac. The composition is centred on a large balance suspended from a stylised tree-like support, with two human figures occupying the opposing pans. The perfectly balanced arrangement evokes the traditional symbolism of Libra: equilibrium, harmony and duality, while the simplified landscape and delicate linear treatment give the image a distinctly dreamlike and poetic character. Soft blue, beige and green accents complement the fine drawing and create a restrained, highly decorative composition. This example belongs to a limited edition of 250, individually numbered 104/250 and hand-signed in pencil in the lower margin. The artist’s name is also incorporated within the composition. A refined interpretation of the Libra zodiac sign and an attractive work for collectors of Dalí, modern graphic art and Surrealism
