Salvador Dalí – Cancer, from the Zodiac Series – 104/250 – Hand-Signed in Pencil

Description

A distinctive graphic work by Salvador Dalí representing Cancer, one of the twelve signs of the Zodiac. The composition features a fantastical crab-like creature with elongated, almost skeletal legs and prominent claws, suspended within a softly coloured circular field above a stylised coastal landscape. The unusual anatomy and dreamlike treatment transform the traditional zodiac symbol into a characteristically Dalinian image, combining delicate linework, surreal invention and a restrained palette of pale blue and warm beige tones. This example belongs to the limited edition of 250, individually numbered 104/250 and hand-signed by Salvador Dalí in pencil in the lower margin. The composition also bears “Dalí 1978” within the image. A striking example of Dalí’s interpretation of astrological symbolism and an appealing work for collectors of modern and Surrealist graphic art.
